Actually I don't know how it's done on Blogger. Basically, you copy the trackback from MY entry, then you paste it into a special place when you're writing YOUR entry...and it automatically pings my server. But I don't know that Blogger has that capability without some creative hacking.

LJ doesn't automatically generate trackbacks like other blogging software does, so whether Blogger supports receiving them or not is probably a moot point for this individual. :-)

Actually, Chaz, Laura here has a separate blog on Blogger and uses LJ half to keep track of personal things and half to let her LJ friends know about her updated pages. She used to leave me an LJ comment when she reviewed a movie on her Blogger account that I already had reviewed here on LJ. Now that I'm on Wordpress, if Blogger had the capability, we could take advantage of trackbacking.

That was a long explanation.

Ah, I see.

Blogger says they don't support trackback. I haven't used blogger nor have I used a trackback powered website, so I cannot say for sure whether this means that blogger just won't accept trackbacks or they won't send them for you either.

From me reading around the Internets, I know there's some kind of hack for it that makes Blogger support trackback...I'd just have to creatively look at Laura's templates if it were important, which it isn't...
